Sendai Sendai is about two hours north from Tokyo on the Bullet Train. Spent a few years working here for a trading firm back when Japan ruled the economic world (once upon a time). . . It is a beautiful place, population at about a million people. There are many beautiful areas to see around Sendai such as Matsushima, Mt. Zao, the Onsens.
